Maps take alot of time to make eg fly made a nice TD one recently that took over 100 hours (added it and yet to play it myself yet other than opening and looks good so far). Jesus its a map, so what if i want to add some resource despoits, i can understand if soemone copys and claims it as their own, we aint talking about mods or games changes here, i hope they do becuase people like me find it diffcult, since theres no chance of the author make the changes for me. Or ask for permission to use there maps and as such get the map file from the maker.
You can use the random map gen to make a map for you with the random gen provided than add resources and stuff via triggers thou all events will need to be made by you. The devs SHOULD NOT be adding stuff like this that makes it easy for people to steal someones work and claim it as there own. No and I fully oppose allowing someone to do this.
